Children’s Mental Health Week

Our school is taking part in Children’s Mental Health Week following this year’s theme of  ‘Growing Together’ .  We are taking this opportunity toemphasising the importance of growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow, to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in our school community.

As part of the week, students will be:

  • Listening to a video assembly – produced and presented by our  Wellbeing Committee student leaders
  • Take part in Tutor Time Activities – focused on how our school ethos, ‘Be Proud, Be Kind, Be Ready’ can help us all grow together
  • Contribute to our Charity Fundraiser –   In support of Children’s Mental Health Week we are asking staff and students to wear bright socks on Friday 11th Feb for a donation of 50p to Childline. The brightly coloured socks represent our individuality and celebrate our differences whilst also being part of a community which ‘grows together’ and supports each other’s mental health and wellbeing.

Charities and organisations across the UK are involved in Children’s Mental Health Week and we would personally like to signpost the following sites should parents want to discuss the event at home:
