Headteacher’s Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself to you as the Headteacher of The Arthur Terry School.

Arthur Terry school is a special place and it is a privilege to build on the success the school has already achieved. We are proud of our culture of high expectations and inclusive ethos which underpins everything we do.  All children are capable of achieving great things.

This is a school where students fulfill their academic potential and develop a love of learning. We have a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that will open up the doors to the very best universities, apprenticeships and careers. As part of the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) the innovative Learning Futures, 1-2-1 device programme ensures every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Students at Arthur Terry are “Proud, Kind and Ready” so they can make a positive contribution to the school and wider community. They develop strong moral principles so they are ready and resilient to be active citizens in an ever-changing world.

We want our students to be proud of their achievements and offer a varied enrichment programme of educational visits and international learning opportunities. Every student benefits from a variety of guest speakers, assemblies, clubs, activities and student leadership roles.

I make no apologies for having sky high expectations in terms of effort, attitude and behaviour and believe that every child can succeed– academically and personally.

The partnership with you as parents and carers is vital and I look forward to working with you so that your child can achieve great things.

Welcome to Arthur Terry.
